Why does DA keep getting more greedy? Ok, so I wanted to look at the list of the groups my art is in, for the purposes of updating this list so I can more easily maintain the types of groups I submit my art too and/or that groups request from me to add to their groups. Seems pretty simple, right? Well, it's not. Apparently, at some point I was unaware of, DA decided that in order to even preview the groups widget, you can only see up to 4 of the groups you're a member of unless you have a premium membership.
So let me get this right, I have to pay money just to be able to see more than 4 groups at a time? Now I know what you're thinking: well, why don't you just install the widget? This is because I don't want my front page to be cluttered by too many widgets. What I used to do to find groups I had previously submitted to, was pull up the list from the preview of the widget. This enabled me to see all the groups my work was in without having to install the widget. Now DA puts the default at 4, and this counts TOWARDS the preview amount. So I can't even pull up a list of the groups unless I pay? That's crazy.
When I try to do the same thing by the "submit to group" option it will only pull up the most recent groups I have submitted to. This doesn't help me, and what it means is, I have to manually go back and find all these groups all over again. I'm not going to do that. The only option I know of is to just look at the different groups my deviations are in, individually, and generate a list based on that, but because every group has it's own set of submission rules, I can't just use the "submit to group" feature for all my stuff.
It was one thing to turn off the ability to show larger pictures on your main page deviations, but to even split hairs over how many groups you can preview? Am I missing something? This is kinda messed up...
